About Eli's Software Encyclopedia

Thank you for visiting!

I specialize in classic home computer software. I have a large inventory of titles for the Apple II, Commodore 64, Amiga, Atari ST, and PC computers.

Your order will be processed with care!

I recognize that many of my customers are collectors and hobbyists who want the software to arrive in the condition advertised.  All orders are packed with care into cardboard boxes with enough packing material to protect against typical in-transit handling (international and domestic).

Retail and Online history:

I have been selling software since the early 1980's and have been selling online since 1998.  I have processed thousands of orders to nearly 20 countries.

Where does it all come from?

In the late 1980's through the mid 1990's I ran a fairly large software wholesale business specializing in closeout software.

In the mid 1990's companies like Time Warner, Sony, Compton's NewMedia, and Philips flooded the market with enormous quantities of CD-ROM software, seriously effecting supply and demand. This, combined with competition from Slash and a number of other companies forced me to redirect my focus to running a computer store in Scranton Pennsylvania. I neglected the wholesale business and the software has sat in a warehouse since then.

I have also always been an avid fan of software, and always made an effort to diversify my inventory whenever possible. I currently have a database of about 17,000 different software titles.

I am working on this site to add titles and improve the appearance of the store.  Please don't hesitate to send me any comments ot suggestions..

I currently work full-time for a bank, along with a number of other part-time occupations. This doesn't give me much time for my favorite hobby, so please be patient if I am slow in answering any questions.

I always do my best to help anyone interested in classic software.

Thanks again!

- Eli
